What is a baby shower?

A baby shower is a party in honor of the expectant parent(s) and their baby. It is a time to come together, give gifts and celebrate the arrival of the little one. Traditionally it is organized by a friend or family member.

When are you organizing a baby shower?

The ideal timing is between weeks 28 and 36 of pregnancy. Early enough to be comfortable, but late enough to celebrate the baby bump.

Step 1: Choose a theme

Popular baby shower themes:

• Animals — jungle, safari or farm animals
• Rainbow — colorful and cheerful
